Responsibilities
- Install and Maintain Electrical Systems: Perform installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, and controls, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Troubleshoot Electrical Issues: Diagnose and resolve electrical problems using specialized tools such as voltmeters and ammeters
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with colleagues to plan and execute electrical installations and maintenance tasks, adhering to project specifications and industry standards
- Read and Interpret Technical Diagrams: Understand and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine the placement of outlets, fixtures, and wiring
- Ensure Compliance: Stay updated on local building codes and regulations, ensuring all electrical work meets or exceeds required standards
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Engage with clients professionally, addressing inquiries, explaining system operations, and offering maintenance advice to ensure long-term satisfaction
- Maintain Accurate Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including work orders and inspection reports, in a timely and accurate manner
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrical vocational training program is preferred
- Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and components
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to electrical installations
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
- Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used in electrical installation and repair
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
